Can funds be remitted to Iran or the Government of Iran (GOI) without exposure to sanctions?
OFAC's answer
No. If funds from the RECIPIENT ACCOUNT or the [SPECIAL PURPOSE ACCOUNT](https://ofac.treasury.gov/faqs/260) are remitted, directly or indirectly, to Iran, or paid to any person that is the [GOI](https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=886e9a4661c69615cd12ec3ed697d807&mc=true&node=se31.3.561_1321&rgn=div8), the [FFI](https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=f001609e54e2c4adcbab5dafe63ba4a7&mc=true&node=se31.3.561_1308&rgn=div8) would be exposed to sanctions.
