Acceptance of terms
By creating an account on Bulwark Compliance, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
What Bulwark provides
Bulwark is a sanctions intelligence platform consisting of four modules — Bulwark (reference + change intelligence), Recon (research agent), Gauntlet (payment screening), and AEGIS (regulatory reporting). Each module is research, reference, screening, or reporting support; the decision to block, escalate, file, or approve stays with your compliance function.
What Bulwark is not
Bulwark is not legal counsel. Module output is research and reference material; it does not constitute legal advice or a regulatory determination. Recon explicitly distinguishes research from adjudication and surfaces evidence rather than verdicts.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to evade lawful sanctions screening obligations, to facilitate transactions with sanctioned parties, or to attempt to extract operational evasion guidance from any module. Recon’s research assistance is built to help compliance officers recognise evasion patterns, not to help anyone commit them.
Automated access, scraping, and redistribution
The underlying sanctions data is U.S. Government public-domain source material, and you are free to obtain it from Treasury. Our compilation — the selection, normalisation, enrichment, cross-linking, and presentation of that data, together with the General License summaries, program taxonomy, and knowledge base — is our original work.
You may not use automated means (crawlers, scrapers, headless browsers) to systematically extract, copy, or index the free reference pages beyond what a normal visitor or a well-behaved search-engine crawler does, and you may not bulk-download, re-host, or redistribute our compilation. Bulk and programmatic access is available only through our authenticated, rate-limited API under separate terms. We reserve the right to rate-limit, challenge, or block automated traffic that abuses the free pages.
Limitation of liability
Bulwark provides the service “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid by you for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
