How does an exporter determine which medical devices need to be specifically licensed by OFAC for exportation or reexportation to Iran?

An exporter should refer to the [List of Medical Devices Requiring Specific Authorization](https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/7791/download?inline), which is maintained on OFAC’s website, on the [Iran Sanctions page](https://ofac.treasury.gov/sanctions-programs-and-country-information/iran-sanctions)[.](https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/Programs/Pages/iran.aspx) An exporter must obtain a specific license from OFAC to export or reexport any medical device on that list to Iran. An exporter must also obtain a specific license for exports to excluded persons as defined in section [560.530](https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/retrieveECFR?gp=&SID=e3c4494665db57ce61ce4c1445726e8e&mc=true&r=PART&n=pt31.3.560#se31.3.560_1530)(a)(3)(iv) of the [ITSR](https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/retrieveECFR?gp=&SID=e3c4494665db57ce61ce4c1445726e8e&mc=true&r=PART&n=pt31.3.560).
