If I reject or block a transaction, when do I have to report the action to OFAC? How do I submit the report?

OFAC's answer

31 C.F.R. Parts [501.603](https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=ff80ea76bc7c29b932e8d76bfce4f592&mc=true&node=se31.3.501_1603&rgn=div8) and [501.604](https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=ff80ea76bc7c29b932e8d76bfce4f592&mc=true&node=se31.3.501_1604&rgn=div8) require blocking and reject reports to be submitted to OFAC within 10 business days of the date of the action. Optional reporting forms are available at [this link](https://ofac.treasury.gov/ofac-reporting-system) and complete information may be emailed to OFAC's Sanctions Compliance and Evaluation Division at [ofacreport@treasury.gov](mailto:ofacreport@treasury.gov). Blocking and reject reports must contain a copy of the original transfer instructions.
