OFAC FAQ #603 · Iran Sanctions

Do persons who were designated pursuant to E.O. 13628 of October 9, 2012, “Authorizing the Implementation of Certain Sanctions Set Forth in the Iran Threat Reduction and Syria Human Rights Act of 2012 and Additional Sanctions With Respect to Iran,” continue to be subject to sanctions following the issuance of E.O. 13846?

OFAC's answer

Yes. OFAC is taking action under section 7 of [E.O. 13846](https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/30181/download?inline) to continue in effect the designations of persons who were designated pursuant to E.O. 13628 at the time of the issuance of E.O. 13846. See[FAQ 602](https://ofac.treasury.gov/faqs/602). U.S. persons must continue to block the property and interests in property of these individuals and entities, and non-U.S. persons should be aware of the sanctions risk associated with these persons.
