[Executive Order 13857](https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/5491/download?inline) of January 25, 2019 "Taking Additional Steps to Address the National Emergency with Respect to Venezuela" broadens the definition of the term "Government of Venezuela" to include persons that have acted, or have purported to act, on behalf of the Government of Venezuela, including members of the Maduro regime, for purposes of [Executive Orders 13692](https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/5906/download?inline), [13808](https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/5476/download?inline), [13827](https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/5486/download?inline), [13835](https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/5511/download?inline), and [13850](https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/5516/download?inline). All existing Venezuela-related sanctions remain in effect.
