GL-60

Summary

General License No. 60 authorizes all transactions related to earthquake relief efforts in Venezuela that would otherwise be prohibited by the Venezuela Sanctions Regulations (31 CFR part 591). The authorization includes the processing or transfer of funds on behalf of third-country persons to or from Venezuela in support of earthquake relief. U.S. financial institutions and U.S. registered money transmitters may rely on the originator of a funds transfer for compliance purposes, provided they have no reason to know the transfer is non-compliant.

Authorized activities

• All transactions related to earthquake relief efforts in Venezuela otherwise prohibited by the VSR
• Processing or transfer of funds on behalf of third-country persons to or from Venezuela in support of earthquake relief efforts
• Reliance by U.S. financial institutions and U.S. registered money transmitters on the originator of a funds transfer for VSR compliance purposes

Conditions

The license does not authorize the unblocking of any property blocked pursuant to the VSR, nor any transactions prohibited by other Executive orders or other parts of 31 CFR chapter V not referenced in this license. Nothing in the license relieves any person from compliance with other Federal laws or requirements of other Federal agencies.
